Assessment Center
The value of a structured job interview is well-known; however, it has its limitation. Assessment of a candidate's work-related competencies, on the other hand, can significantly increase the information available prior to making a hiring decision or promotion of an employee. As the first consultancy to introduce competency assessment in Lithuania, we've acquired extensive experience in this field using a variety of simulation exercises and psychometric tests. Our assessment methodology can be adapted to a wide range of positions to include senior and mid-level managers as well as a wide-range of specialists. Deliverables include personality comments based on observed behavior and competencies demonstrated by the candidate during each simulation exercise, something which would be difficult, at best, to verify during a standard job interview.
An assessment center is used to measure the most important job-related competencies of a candidate or employee. This is accomplished by creating a controlled scenario that requires an individual to interact with other participants in an unfamiliar “simulated” work setting and in the process, prompting an individual to react to a variety of realistic problem situations. We ensure objectivity of the assessment by adhering to strict guidelines both during the exercise while observing participant behavior and during the evaluation stage which follows. To that end, 2–3 experienced assessors are present during any assessment and all final ratings are determined by consensus.
